The listed dimensions are the size of the tool, i.e. the wet clay. Clay shrinks during drying and firing, usually around 5–15%, and the final size of your piece always depends on your own clay and firing temperature. For example, with a 10 cm size and 12% shrinkage, the finished piece would be about 8.8 cm. Please check your clay's shrinkage before ordering and choose the size accordingly.

Create perfectly symmetrical and uniform bowls with this high-quality mold! This round drape mold (hump mold) is specially designed for ceramic handbuilding and slab pottery, making it an excellent tool for both home and studio use.
The mold provides a clean, smooth, half-spherical shape without any disruptive seams. It is hollow inside, making it lightweight and easy to handle at your workstation, while remaining highly rigid and durable.
Recommendation for a beautiful finish: We highly recommend using this mold together with our foot ring tool. It allows you to easily craft a clean, professional, and beautiful foot ring for your bowl!

Tip: Since the plastic mold does not absorb water like plaster, we recommend placing a thin cloth or plastic wrap between the clay and the mold for an easier release.
Important: clay shrinks onto a drape mold as it dries. Lift the bowl off the mold at the latest when it is leather-hard; if it is left on the mold to dry further, it may crack.
