The listed dimensions are the size of the tool, i.e. the wet clay. Clay shrinks during drying and firing, usually around 5–15%, and the final size of your piece always depends on your own clay and firing temperature. For example, with a 10 cm size and 12% shrinkage, the finished piece would be about 8.8 cm. Please check your clay's shrinkage before ordering and choose the size accordingly.

This negative square mold helps you create elegant platters or dishes with raised edges. The mold is available in two different depths, so you can choose either a subtle raised edge or a deeper form (1 cm and 2 cm).

For the best results, we recommend choosing a cutter that is 2 cm larger than the mold. This ensures a perfect fit and a beautiful finish for your clay projects.
Negative mold: A negative mold has a recessed shape that allows the clay slab to shrink away from the mold as it dries. This makes it a safe option, as the clay can remain in the mold throughout the entire drying process.
