Hexagon Clay Cutter – Basic Shapes, 1–25 cm

The listed dimensions are the size of the tool, i.e. the wet clay. Clay shrinks during drying and firing, usually around 5–15%, and the final size of your piece always depends on your own clay and firing temperature. For example, with a 10 cm size and 12% shrinkage, the finished piece would be about 8.8 cm. Please check your clay's shrinkage before ordering and choose the size accordingly.

A clean, simple hexagon cutter for clay – part of our Basic Shapes series, where every shape comes in 1 cm steps from 1 cm all the way up to 25 cm. Pick exactly the size you need, from tiny jewelry pieces and appliqués to tiles, coasters and plate-sized slabs.
Press the cutter straight down into rolled-out clay and lift it off – the thin cutting edge leaves a crisp outline, and the wide top rim makes it comfortable to press evenly. The size is measured point to point (flat to flat is about 87 % of the size).
Cutters 10 cm and larger have an added support structure across the top that keeps the shape true and rigid. Depending on the size of the cutter, the support may show the cutter size and the Icewood Atelier name.
Works with ceramic clay, polymer clay, air-dry clay and other soft modelling materials. Mix and match shapes and sizes – the cutter volume discount applies automatically when you buy 3 or more cutters.
