Sold as a full 5 m coil. Please note that we do not cut coils into shorter lengths.

Flat Kanthal wire for making your own custom hooks, hangers and loops for ceramics. Bend it into the shape you need, push it into soft (wet or leather-hard) clay before firing, and it stays permanently embedded in the finished piece. Kanthal withstands kiln firing up to 1400°C.

Compared to round wire, the flat profile grips the clay well and is less likely to twist or pull loose, and it is easy to bend by hand or with small pliers.

Choose the size: n.10 – width 1.25 mm, thickness 0.2 mm, or n.11 – width 1.5 mm, thickness 0.25 mm.
