Please consider clay shrinkage
The listed dimensions are the size of the tool, i.e. the wet clay. Clay shrinks during drying and firing, usually around 5–15%, and the final size of your piece always depends on your own clay and firing temperature. For example, with a 10 cm size and 12% shrinkage, the finished piece would be about 8.8 cm. Please check your clay's shrinkage before ordering and choose the size accordingly.

Press a detailed cloudberry sprig into clay with this 3D-printed relief mold – a three-lobed leaf with fine veins and serrated edges, and a ripe cloudberry rising in high relief. Use it for decorative tiles, coasters and wall pieces, or as an appliqué on mugs and vases.

How to use: Roll out a soft, fairly thick slab – about 4 mm works well, and the clay shouldn't be too dry. Press it generously into the mold, mist lightly with water and work it in firmly with your fingers so the clay fills every vein and every part of the berry. Turn the mold over onto your board and trim off the edges for a neat tile. Let it dry face down – by the next day the tile releases easily from the mold.

Size: Mold approx. 114 × 102 mm, 12 mm thick. The motif is designed with about 10 % clay shrinkage in mind, so the fired cloudberry ends up close to life-size. Actual shrinkage depends on your clay and firing.

Tested and refined: After our first clay test, we increased the print resolution on the cloudberry itself, so the berry's surface comes out even smoother in clay.
