Collection: Amaco

AMACO Potter's Choice glazes are brush-on stoneware glazes for mid-fire, cone 5–6 (approx. 1186–1222 °C). They're known for rich, variegated surfaces: the colour flows, thins and shifts tone over edges and texture, and layering two glazes creates beautiful effects.
Easy to use: apply 3 even coats with a soft brush on bisque ware, letting each coat dry before the next. Shake or stir the jar well before use.
Layering: many Potter's Choice glazes really come alive when layered. Our Layering Duos pair two glazes that work together, with a layering recipe in the product description – an easy way to get started.
Flux and Kiln Ice: Potter's Choice Flux glazes are more fluid, and Kiln Ice Snow Drift forms a crackle surface – both look great over textured clay. Flux glazes can run, so leave an unglazed margin above the foot and test on a tile first.
Always test new glazes and combinations with your own clay and kiln first – results depend on the clay body, application thickness and firing. All jars are 472 ml.
